Tuesday, September 27, 2005 local arts groups are combining forces
to help raise money for disaster relief for the areas ravaged by
Hurricane Katrina at the Fuze Box (12 Central Ave.,
Albany). This special benefit event will feature local poets and
musicians performing, an art auction, and other activities
throughout the evening in an effort to raise funds for the
American Red Cross to assist victims of the recent storm. |

edition of Albany Poets Presents will be a special night of
poetry and music to benefit the Lisa Schroeder-Rand Memorial Fund.
Lisa was a local mother of four who drowned attempting to save two
children from the Schoharie Creek. The Memorial Fund has been set up
to assist the family in funeral costs as well as helping her four
children. |
